March 25, 1976 – Ramon Revilla and Boots Anson Roa were filming Ang Lihim ni Rosa Henson sa Buhay ni Kumander Lawin in Mauban, Quezon. At the same time, government troops were hunting Maria Lorena Barros, activist, writer, and New People’s Army commander in the same mountains.
When news broke that Lorena Barros had been captured and killed, the film crew, still in costume, paid their sympathies and posed before her body. Boots Anson Roa and Lorena Barros had once been undergrads together at the University of the Philippines, and her expression here says it all.
